FIEB - Unisim-Soft: online collaboration

The Faculty of Economic and Business Engineering has a valuable partner - the company «UNISIM-Soft», which creates a favorable framework for digitizing the economic educational process through continuous consulting on the use of the Oracle platform even in pandemic conditions.
The COVID-19 pandemic generated a global health problem, but also highlighted the need to digitize the activity in various fields, this gradually becoming a mandatory condition for survival. We can divide companies into two types: already digitized or in the process of digitization - there is no other option. Hence the urgent need to train students in complementary skills in the IT field, thus contributing to ensuring a high rate of employment.
The beginning of the didactic activity in this semester, as in the previous period, is marked by multiple challenges determined by online activities, the impossibility of carrying out activities in regular format, a fact characteristic especially of laboratory works, such as the discipline "Information technologies in accounting ”.In this order, the online activity of the lecturer Lidia SURDU was conducted by the company's expert « UNISIM-Soft » Gabriela CHIRTOACA, which ensured the complex use of the Oracle platform, guiding this activity remotely. Thus, the FIEB partner reconfirmed its full openness for the development of digital skills of UTM students.
Another direction of collaboration is related to the organization of the license practice. Student Victoria DUBAC also had a current theme in this regard: "Automating the process of evaluating staff performance in the company", the main objective being to present a DEMO solution on the Oracle platform - a task with a deeply applicable character, which required a high level of skills both in the economic field and in IT.
Ensuring qualitative studies can be determined by maintaining close links with important stakeholders, flexibility, adjustment to the needs validated by the real activity of enterprises. FIEB's collaboration with "Unisim Soft" is a good example of this, with major benefits for the educational process.
